Can I order one piece of jewellery and multiple charms?
All pieces in the Precious Charms collection suit more than one charm. The Bracelets, Heavy Necklaces and Keyrings are suitable for multiple separate charms. The Chokers and Fine Link Necklaces suit a Duo or Triple charm.
Can I add another charm to my existing Precious Charms jewellery?
Absolutely, if the additional charm is for a Choker, Bracelet, Heavy Necklace or Keyrings. Just order a Separate Charm via the website, which you can easily to attach yourself.
Can I order a traditional charm bracelet with Precious Charms attached?
Just order a Precious Charms Bracelet and any extra individual charms, we will set each charm on a bail and solder this to the bracelet - the charge is A$15 per charm.
Am I able to buy a Precious Charm to fit on my existing jewellery?
Individual charms are available separately without Precious Charms jewellery. Care needs to be taken in selecting the correct charm to suit your existing jewellery.
Classic Bail Charm - This charm from our Fine Link Necklace can be attached to your existing jewellery rather like a conventional charm bracelet. Just take the charm and your jewellery to a jeweller to have a ring soldered to secure the charm.
Hoop Charm - The charms for our Heavy Link Necklace and Bracelet are mounted on a hoop, which has been custom made to have the chain feed through. The inside measurement of the hoop is 8mm. You will need to check your existing chain and clasp will fit through this 8mm hoop.
Drop Charm - An alternative charm style to the Hoop Charm, with a more triangular shape. The inside measurement of the triangular drop ring is 8mm. Again you will need to check your existing chain and clasp with fit through this 8mm hoop.
Choker Bauble Charm - This is a solid silver or gold ball with a hole through the centre which we feed our Choker through. The inside diameter of the hole is 3mm.
I want to change my prepaid jewellery order – what do I do?
Please email us to determine if there is any difference in price. Update the order form in the kit and forward with any additional payment, along with your wax imprints.
How long do I have to use my Precious Charms Kit?
Prepaid Precious Charms orders are valid for 12 months from the invoice date.
How do you create an exact copy of the fingerprint?
We use the traditional method of jewellery making called the lost wax process.
Is the Precious Charm the exact size and a true copy of the fingerprint?
Yes, the lost wax process ensures there is no shrinkage or loss of detail. That’s why this process has been used for hundreds of years by the jewellery industry to reproduce detailed designs. Your Precious Charm is an exact representation of the original fingerprint.
How do I know the wax imprint I send will be returned as my charm?
We identify each wax imprint by the unique I.D. number and your child’s initials on the mailing box. Also, we photocopy each imprint on arrival at our workshop, noting the initials and I.D. number on the photocopy. Your return details form also cross references the initials and I.D. number.
Is the jewellery selection limited to Silver and 9ct Yellow Gold?
We also offer Precious Charms in 9ct Rose or White Gold. If you would like another precious metal please call or email and we will arrange a quotation.
Will the Precious Charms Kit cover an imprint for an adult and what will be the cost?
Yes, it will, we recommend using a ‘pinkie’ finger. There is no extra charge.
My child has run off with the wax and I can’t find it! Help!
Don’t panic, the wax is safe and non-toxic. Just send an email or give us a call and we will post more wax out to you pronto.
Do you charge extra for delivery?
The price for each Precious Charm covers all delivery costs within Australia. This includes sending out the Precious Charms Kit, the prepaid return envelope for the wax imprints, and sending your completed Precious Charms jewellery by registered post.
Do you accept overseas orders?
Absolutely, all prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AU$), and will be converted via PayPal to your local currency on your credit card. Please be patient as we are reliant on airmail for delivery. Please select and pay for international postage, unfortunately registered post is not available for overseas deliveries.
